Select audio source

To change the audio source open the 'Profile Settings' dialog.

Select audio device :

This is a list of all audio devices installed on the PC. Select it if you intend to capture audio. Uncheck video device if you intend to capture audio alone or uncheck audio device if you want to capture video alone.

Important Note: Windows Vista sees audio lines as audio devices, so if you are running Windows Vista you won't have to select an audio line, you will only have to select an audio device. Audio devices in Vista may have to be enabled first, so click here to learn how to enable audio devices in Vista.

Select audio line :

This is a list of all audio lines available for recording. All audio that you can hear can be recorded. Select ‘stereo mix’ or ‘record master’ line to record mixed audio. External devices plugged to 'Line in' on the audio board can also be recorded, External devices can be tape recorders, cd players, dvd players, lp players, etc…

Important Note: Windows Vista does not work with audio lines, lines are devices to Windows Vista, so you won't have to select an audio line, you will only have to select an audio device. Supported audio lines :

  • Mono Mix.
  • Stereo Mix.
  • Aux.
  • CD Player.
  • Line-in
  • Microphone
  • Phone
  • External devices plugged to Line-in such as cassette players for example.

    Set volume level :

    Audio dB level applied to all captured audio.
